Meet our Board Trustee,
Lee Haponski
Lee has been an Austin resident since about 2012 when she relocated from The Woodlands, TX to be near her first grandson, Jeremy, the son of her oldest daughter, Mandy who moved to Austin in 2005 from Southern California and married a native Austonian in 2011 (and had a second son, Nathan, in 2014). Lee relocated to SW Austin with her husband, Don, a now retired USAF and airline pilot, and their younger daughter, Monica, along with her pitty puppy, Indo. She recently added a second pitty, China, a 3 or 4 year-old from Austin Animal Center to the family.
Lee comes to Unity from the Centers for Spiritual Living communities in Ventura, CA, Spring and Austin, TX. Seeking a more robust in-person experience post-COVID, including congregational and choir singing and opportunities for learning and spiritual growth with like-minded individuals, she transitioned to the Unity Austin Church in 2023, formally becoming a member in 2024.
Lee's inherent love for learning has been a driving force in her personal and community endeavors. She dedicates her time to developing fiction writing and publishing skills, engages in tutoring her middle-school-aged grandsons, and actively participates in multiple Unity church activities, including leading Sisters of Myrtle Fillmore for the 2025 year.. Her commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing exemplifies her passion for personal growth and community engagement.
