INSIGHT by Beverly Floro

Insight, as the word implies, is sight from within. It is a natural asset of the introvert. I used to tell clients when counseling them, “Your mind is where you live. What does it look and feel like? Do you feel at home?” Many people’s minds are cluttered by old trash and memories. No insight can come through the debris until order is established. When peace is achieved and a person is comfortable in their mind, insights come naturally. Insight comes through daydreams and night dreams. It is not to be forced or contrived but allowed to surface gently. In aha moments, experiences come together in a wholistic pattern giving meaning to random events. Another word for insight is epiphany, a sudden realization or divine appearance. In Unity, we believe the divine is within every person. Therefore, when we receive insights, our divine self is messaging us. We just need to attend inwardly on a regular basis. Let us tend our inner garden of the mind and soul, weeding out the negative and bringing sunshine and nourishment. May we respect and honor the source of our divine insight.
